CRESCENDO MUSIC THEORY


CMH offers students learn the theory of music and composition. The course is offered in Foundation Level and Advanced Level. Students can opt to appear for music theory examinations offered by Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) London, Trinity College of Music (TCL) and London College of Music (LCM).

At Foundation Level, the course is designed to provide students with the skills needed to read and write Western music notation, as well as to understand, analyse, and listen informedly. It will cover materials such as pitches and scales, intervals, clefs, rhythm, form, meter, phrases and cadences, and basic harmony.

At Advanced level, the course is designed to equip students with skills for advanced music analysis and composition. Students will learn to recognize the historic, compositional and cultural contexts of music, understand the texture, timbre, harmony and structure of orchestra and orchestral instruments. At the end of this course a successful student will be able to implement the concepts and write music that recreates the styles and genres of the western classical composers.

Crash Course – Get your music skills on to fast track by enrolling in crash courses / summer classes at CMH and learn to play in just one month. This 15 hour module over a month is ideal for beginners who want professional-level instructions from a qualified teacher.

Online Classes – A one on one on-line teaching can be opted for people who want to have music education at their own place.
